Captain Cook reported that a caste called "kauwa" existed on the islands. In 1783 Kamehameha declared the Mamalalhoa Kanawai or Act of Amnesty which would have technically ended such practices and in 1852 Slavery was abolished by Law except for servitude as criminal punishment. There is no record of African Slavery within Hawaii.

I don't know but, by my calculation there wasn't any slavery going on in Hawaii.
