Several types of cheese were available. Hard cheeses were made from skimmed mild, soft cheeses were made from whole milk. All of these dairy products were deemed inferior foods and therefore only to be eaten by the Tudor poor and lower classes.
So it is very unlikely that Henry VIII (or any of the Tudors/medieval royalty) would have tasted cheese.
