Mother Teresa has been beatified but is not yet a canonized saint. There are many, many saints who have been canonized in recent years.
In March of 1997 she relinquished the administrative duties to Sister Nirmala who had been elected to be the successor to Mother Teresa. Mother Teresa remained as the Mother Superior of the Order until her death when the title passed to Sister Nirmala. In other words, Mother Teresa went into partial retirement.
Mother Teresa was named as the patron saint of World Youth Day a few years back. She has no other patronages at this time.

Mother Teresa was home schooled by her mother because girls in Albania were not allowed to attend school at the time. Once she joined the Sisters of Loretto she was sent to Ireland for a few months to learn English. Other than that, she had no formal education.
