A:It is a possibility.

Nikola Tesla was an inventor and engineer who was viewed as eccentric. Some of his characteristics that could be associated with Asperger's Syndrome (AS) are a possible photographic memory, picture thinking his inventions in every detail without drawing them, fastidiousness about hygeine, not finishing college, and being reclusive. Of course, these characteristics do not mean that he had AS. Less similar to people with AS, he also had friends and made a good impression on most people when he chose to interact with them.

Tesla also had characteristics of Synesthesia and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

There is nothing in his bibliography to indicate that he had Aspergers' Syndrome. He may have had OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) and had a photographic memory. He was also antisocial and very opinionated.

A person does not 'got' Asperger Syndrome, a person is Autistic and can be diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome - as Asperger Syndrome did not exist as a diagnosis we cannot say that Alan Turing had Asperger Syndrome. Retrospective diagnosis of Autism, which is where we can look at characteristics of people who existed throughout history to make a likely diagnosis of Autism, would suggest that Turing was Autistic.
