Yes. Although this was not required, there was never an official concern about his eligibility to be President, and he was the first and only President to ever provide this. He provided both a Certificate of Live Birth (which in Hawaii is officially considered equal to the Birth Certificates given out in other states) and he also has provided a copy of the "long form" version. That answer is bogus. Nobody has seen Barak Obama's birth certificate or even a certified copy of that document.
The document referenced above is a Certificate of Live Birth which is, theoretically, an abstract of a hospital generated birth certificate. Obviously, transcription errors are possible as is the possibility of deliberate tampering especially where money and powerful people are involved. There was also an issue with the fact that Hawaii allowed verbal testimony when the birth was not in a hospital. Suffice it to say that a COLB should be adequate to establish eligibility for the most powerful job in the World today.
Do we really want to trust such a document to verify the eligibility of our POTUS? Can you think of a more important issue to discuss than the validity and continuation of the Constitution.
