∙ 13y agoYes Frances Spencer did have an affair. Her marriage was strained and when Diana and her younger brother Charles were children she met Peter Shand-Kydd and his wife. Shortly afterward John and Frances got divorced and so did Peter and his wife after which Frances and Peter got married.
