The Triangle Trade was the exchange of Slaves for Rum, American Whiskey, Molasses and Sugar. Those were exchanged for trade good, particularly Iron and Iron products, cloth and pottery for slaves where those products were highly desirable in western Africa.

Three successful round trips and a Ship's Captain could purchase a peerage and Estate and retire forever. A crewman's share could buy a country pub and home where he could enjoy the good life.
