By attacking their peaceful neighbors in an effort to build their empires... much the same way Sadam attacked his neighbors in an attempt to build HIS empire. Hitler wanted to control Europe (and some speculate he would not have stopped until he ruled the world) and he had successfully taken over every nation of Europe except England. Some of the nations fought back, some (like France) gave up with little resistance, and England refused to surrender. Hitler's big mistake was to draw the U.S. into the war by attacking our ships as they were making deliveries to England. The Emperor of Japan wanted to control the islands of the Pacific. His military decided to attack Hawaii because they truly believed that the people of the United States did not have the racial purity to be able to endure the type of war that they would deliver. They thought that we would surrender, much the same way the people of Europe had surrendered to Hitler. They also believed that the American people would not have the courage to follow through. Of course, today, they would have been right Although Japan had been at war with China since 1937 their involvement in World War II can be traced back to the economic sanctions that the U.S.A, U.K and Netherlands placed upon it. Japan entered diplomatic negotiations with the U.S and U.K these failed in December 1941, causing the attacks on Pearl Habour and British owned countries in South East Asia.

The Nazi party received less than 10% of the votes. At this point the leader of the Nazi Party Adolf Hitler overthrew the government.
