Hera, Queen of Heaven and goddess of marriage and the starry sky, is wife of Zeus in Greek mythology. Io was the lover of Zeus whom Zeus - not Hera - turned into a white heifer when Hera came upon Zeus and discovered his affair. Hera was not fooled by Io's shape and asked to have her, Zeus could not disagree and gave Io to Hera, who put Io in the keeping of Argos Panoptês - Zeus later sent Hermes to save Io. Hermes killed Argos, and Hera put his hundred eyes on the peacock and sent a gadfly after Io, which kept her from rest with it's sting. Io eventually came to Egypt, where she was identified with Isis, and her son Epaphos with Apis.
Echo was punished by Hera because she was a nymph who helped Zeus cheat on Hera. Echo did this by distracting Hera and flattering her. When Hera found out, she cursed Echo to repeat the words of others.Echo used to help Zeus get away with his affairs by keeping Hera busy with her continuous talking, so that Zeus and the nymphs he was with would have time to escape. When Hera found out about it she cursed her.
Here as you know was married to Zeus. But she was very jealous. And she had every right to be. Zeus would constantly cheat on her with thousands of mortal woman. One time Zeus was doing his thing with, yet another one of his mistresses. But Hera had caught wind of it this time. She went down their herself. Zeus Saw her coming and in attempt to save her life he turned he into a calf. Hera understood it was a trick, and cleverly asked for the calf as a gift. Zeus reluctantly said yes. Hera Kept the calf under heavy guard, she had a monster watch it, but the monster had eyes all over his body. So Zeus sent down a helper. The helper went down and started telling the most boring story ever. And He made the monster sleepy. Slowly, eye, by eye, the monster fell asleep. and died. He was bored to death. The calf was set free and it ran away.Another thing about Hera was that she hated Hercules. As it shows in the movie by Disney, Hercules is attacked by Hates while in love with another character named meg. But the truth is, Hates like Hercules and Hera Hated him, and Meg isn't Even an actual goddess or even mortal in mythology. Strictly made up. OK so, now I'm saying all this confusing stuff. But listen. In the movie:- hates = enemies - meg = real- Hera = goodReal- hates = good- meg = fake- Hera = enemiesSo, this is what happened. Zeus had an affair, and had Hercules, and kept him. Hera hated Hercules, because every time she looked at him she was reminded of Zeus being unfaithful. So She had to get rid of him. So she mad his mind wacko out, and he went in sane and killed his sons. Then he had to go pay of his crime by doing the 10 labors. But he had to do two more because Hera claimed that Hercules didn't do two good enough.so i hoped this helped
Echo was a beautiful Nymph who would often enchant Hera with her many stories and her glib tongue. However, the day came when Zeus enlisted her help to divert Hera's attention while he seduced a mountain nymph. One day, Hera discovered what had happened, and she went to confront Zeus in the mountains. While the quarrel ensued, Echo kept interrupting her so as to allow the nymphs to escape. Hera grew furious at the nymph and cursed her so that she would lose her ability to speak, being only able to repeat the words of others.
Hera tried to stop Hercules from completing the twelve labors. She failed in the end but She kept tormenting him by cursing him. It is said that Hera CURSED Hercules and instead of killing his enemy's, he killed his own son. Also, jealous of Zeus, she tried to get back at all of the women he dated by cursing them too. Once, Zeus was dating a girl and Hera, obviously jealous, asked to see her. When Zeus brought the girl to Hera she turned her into a cow. Then she turned her into a monster with eyes all over its body. Zeus, feeling bad for the girl, called on his loyal servant Hermes to kill the monster. Hermes approached the monster and put him to sleep using hypnotic music. He then demolished the body with a stone. But, Hera already knowing that Hermes and Zeus were planning this, took all the eyes out of the body the night before and spread them out on the pecock's feathers' to honor her loyal servant. Hera also gave birth to Ares, Enyo, Hephaestus, and Eris. She also created the milky way when milk spurted from her breats. So that's basically some of her accomplishments... She has the symbols of a peacock, a cow, a pomegranite, a lily, a diadem, and a scepter. i don't have reference sights for this because I forgot to writ them down. :)
her lovers was Zeus and she always get jealous from the many lovers that Zeus has and she was also very pretty and she was known as her beauty and in first when Zeus asked her to marry him she refused but then he changed himself to a bird so one days she was walking in a garden and saw the bird so she hugged him kept him close to her and all of a sudden he changed to Zeus and that's how Zeus married her so as a result she was so cute but jealous and conceited and also loves to take revenge from others because of her hateful jealousy.
Zeus kept Hercules safe by intervening throughout his life, often providing him with guidance and assistance in times of peril. He sent divine help, such as the goddess Athena, to aid Hercules during his Twelve Labors. Additionally, Zeus protected Hercules from the wrath of Hera, who was jealous of him, ensuring that he could fulfill his destiny despite the challenges he faced. Ultimately, Zeus's divine influence helped Hercules navigate his trials and achieve greatness.
She kept Olympus live and well
Echo was a mountain nymph. The god of nature, Pan, had fallen in love with her. She talked so much that Pan never got a chance to speak with her. One day Hera came down from Olympus to find Zeus, who was flirting with the nymphs. Echo chatted with Hera for so long that she gave Zeus a chance to escape. Hera was so angry that she cursed Echo. Echo could then only repeat the words of others. She fell in love with Narcissus, and kept following him around in the woods, when Narcissus fell in love with his reflection and eventually died, Echo grieved until she died as well.
Hera was the wife and sister of Zeus. Hera is a mighty goddess who is sadly known most for her unmitigated jealousy. She is vicious and spiteful, and it is usually Zeus's infidelity that incites her to rage. She was best described by Homer in his epic the Iliad. She was the eldest daughter to the Titan Cronus and thus was responsible in part for usurping the Titans' power and control over the universe. Homer portrayed her fairly unkindly as good for nothing but torturing Zeus's sexual consorts, but Hera is recognized as having upheld all the old rights and rules of ancient Greek culture. She is well known for punishing Hercules by driving him mad. In his madness, he slew his entire family, and after waking from her spell, he sought to kill himself in repentance for his actions. She turned the priest Tiresias into a woman and made him a priestess to her "cult" after he struck two mating snakes with his staff. Then Zeus asked Tiresias to answer a question concerning who was more pleasured during sex, men or women, as he had lived as both, and Tiresias sided with Zeus when he said "women," and Hera blinded him for answering to Zeus over her. Examples of Hera's malice are very well known. She was a difficult goddess to deal with.
It starts off as Zeus cheating on Hera. Echo tells Hera a lie so Hera will not discover he was cheating. Zeus gives Echo a gift thanking her , but Hera finds out. So Hera casts a spell on Echo so she can only repeat what others say. Narcissus happened to be in the woods at the time and he was so beautiful Echo fell in love with him. Narcissus did not like echo because she would only repeat what he said and got annoyed. Echo heartbroken prayed to Aphrodite the Goddess of Love who took pity on Echo. She had Narcissus fall in love with him self with a reflection in the water, Narcissus believing that it was a water Nymph stayed at the water trying to coax her out. Turning into a flower. Aphrodite let Echo rest in peace but couldn't bear to lose the sound of Echo's voice so she kept it whispering in the wind.
