No, I don't think they did get any tattos! I only think that because, Geishas wanted to keep their natural beauty. So that's why they don't want tattos.

Well I've found some stuff such as runes and what not and some knot work tattoos but i found this one web site that said, if your looking for like viking warrior tattos as i am, that there is much history left of tattoos but there is evidence that from the tips of their fingers up to their neck on both arms was tattooed in a knot work pattern of trees in a dark green colour and same with the right leg
WELL WITH SAIOLORS, SUCH AS MYSELF( I AM A MERCHANT MARINER), ITS A SUPERSTITIOUS THING. IT MEANS TO US THAT WE WILL NEVER GET LOST AT SEA AND THAT WE WILL FIND OUR WAY HOME, THE REASON IS BECAUSE IT TAKES TWO STARS TO GET A CELLESTIAL BEARING. NOW THE NAUTICAL STAR BECAME MANY THINGS, LIKE PUNK ROCK FOR INSTANCE. IT JUST TOOK ONE PUNK KID TO GET IT CAUSE HE THOUGHT IT WAS COOL THAN THE TREND STARTED. ANYWAYS THE SAILOR TRADITION IS BY FAR THE OLDEST AND THE ORIGIN OF THE NAUTICAL STAR TATTOS.
They hunted and gathered their food. They ate snakes, lizards, armadillos, worms, snails, spiders, and insects. When it was especially difficult to find food, they would sometimes resort to eating rotten wood. With meat in short supply, plants formed the major part of the Coahuiltecans' diet. Women and children gathered leaves, Cati's fruit, and nuts. Cati's, mesquite, beans, and nuts was an important source of food. People that provided food were called " Shaman". Coahuiltecans lived in dome -shaped huts made by cutting and bending young trees and covering them with reed mats and animals hides. They could quickly roll up the mats and hides and place them on their backs, and move to the next camp. The Coahiltecan Indians wore very few clothes and made sandals for thier feet with fiber. Even though the Coahiltecan tribe wore very few clothes they took great pride in decorating their clothing material with seeds. Tattos were displayed on every Coahuiltecan member (men and women). The tattos were used both as decoration and important tribe family symbols. Men were extremely strong and athletic. They hunted deer on foot and could run as fast as many animals without any rest.
