Like God, the Flying Spaghetti Monster was created by people. Theists created God as a way to explain everything and control people. Atheists created the Flying Spaghetti Monster to combat the creation of the Theist God. To be more specific, Bobby Henderson created the Flying Spaghetti Monster in a letter to the Kansas State Board of Education after they decided to force children to learn "intelligent design" (creationism) alongside evolution.

The letter claimed that since they were teaching intelligent design by a creator who isn't specified and that the Flying Spaghetti Monster has believers and is just as conceivable can fill that purpose as well.

To find out more, please look up Barry Henderson's website and/or his letter to the Kansas State Board of Education.

Pastafarian view:No, the Flying Spaghetti Monster is god and he touches us all with his noodly appendage.

What is the difference in believing in God versus believing in the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

Some people might say that there is no difference in believing in God versus believing in the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Both of these beliefs are not actually backed by scientific evidence. Many people believe that God is real because of the Bible and the many references to a creator in human life.

Is or was there ever a Flying Spaghetti Monster?

The Flying Spaghetti Monster is the deity and symbol of the church of the same name, a movement known as Pastafarianism. The Flying Spaghetti Monster, or FSM, was intended to be a satire of the deities of other theists religions. The foundation of the concept of FSM is that, just like God who cannot be seen or felt but must be real because He is the creator of the world through intelligent design, the carbohydrate-filled deity who cannot be seen or felt must also be real because It is the creator of the universe through a drunken stupor. In essence, the FSM was merely created as a sort of mascot for Pastafarianism which draws heavily upon parallel and circular logic.

What is the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, or more specifically Pastafarianism, is a movement that promotes a satirical viewpoint on religion and opposes the concept of intelligent design. The Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM) was first conceived by Bobby Henderson in 2005 in a lettered protest against the Kansas State Board of Education's decision to force schools in Kansas to allocate equal time teaching intelligent design in the science curriculum as an alternative to biological evolution. Originally a private letter detailing circular logic and ironic hypocrisy, Henderson soon released the letter to the public on his website, which garnered international attention. "Pastafarianism" was widely acclaimed as light-hearted humor that gave question to the ideologies of religion. For example, one such point that Henderson made was that, because one cannot see the carbohydrate-based deity that supposedly created the world in a fit of drunken stupor, it must be real. This runs parallel to many monotheistic religions and parodies their ideolgical belief that God is an invisible entity that has not been seen but created the world through intelligent design, and must be real. The Flying Spaghetti Monster is often mentioned in conjunction with the Invisible Pink Unicorn, the goddess of another parody religion that plays on the paradox of an entity that is both invisible and pink at the same time.

Was Jesus a hero?

Yes i believe Jesus was a hero! ^the statement above is a personal statement.. its debatable depending on peoples personal beliefs and religions. ^correct^ i personally believe in the flying spaghetti monster, so obviously, i don't think Jesus was a hero. now, if he was real, then yes. i do believe, he could possibly be real but i don't have him as my god.
