Huffy bicycles, for the longest time, were made in the U.S.A., but after 2004 they shut down their U.S. factory. In fact, the factory in Celina Ohio is now a facory for Crown forklifts. Today, Huffy bicycles are made in China.
The special part about "Huffy" bikes is that they have been in business since 1892. The brand manufactures mass market bicycles that are affordable but maintain high quality craftsmanship.
Bicycles are as a rule very generic in their design, there isn't much that's specific for Huffy. So it's just a question of disassemble, clean, lube, reassemble and adjust as required.
There are many bicycle brands for kids available. Some of these include: Specialized, Diamondback, Huffy, Scott Sports, Sun Bicycles, Next, Jamis and Kona.
Huffy manufactures a full range of bikes for both children and adults. They offer 16" to 20" models for children. For adult bicycles, there are models that start at 20" and go as high as 29".

In the 1950's and early 60s Sears bicycles were sold under the name " J.C. Higgins" (perhaps a jab at their competitor J.C. Pennys?). For a while in the later 60's and early 70's, they only bore the "Sears" name. During this time, many of their "lightweight" bicycles were manufactured by Puch bicycles from Austria, and were of very high workmanship. About 1973 Sears began offering Huffy bicycles under the name "Free Spirit".
Bicycles rarely become valuable collectibles. Your best bet is to look for similar bikes on ebay, craigslist and suchlike to find out what they are selling for.
