The Nazis weren't the only ones who accused the Jews of killing Jesus but it was not even in the top five most important reasons for them. Their primary issues with Jews were the unfounded and erroneous assertions that Jews were responsible for Germany's (then) current economic failure, Germany's failure in the First World War, the Weakening of German identity, the "Ethnic-Uniqueness" and "Un-Assimilable Nature" of the Jew which was incompatible with the German people, and odd religious customs and traditions.

_____________

The Nazis' hatred of the Jews had almost nothing to do with religion. The Holocaust was not some version of 'Onward, Christian Soldiers' that got out of hand. Nazi antisemitism was political and racial. (Obviously, the demonization of the Jews in preceding centuries had arisen from religious differences).

Yes; and by God's 'determinate counsel':

Him, (Jesus), being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: (Acts 2.23)

Additional Answer:

The Scripture tells us that Jesus became our Passover for the sins of all mankind.

Technically, the Jews could not kill anyone and needed the ruling Romans to effect the punishment of the crimes they perceived/charged Him with. It is said in Scripture that Pilate, the Roman Governor at the time, knew the 'envy' of the Jewish religious leaders and elders desiring His death even to the point of saying:

Matthew 27:24-25New King James Version (NKJV)

24 When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, "I am innocent of the blood of this just Person. You see to it."

25 And all the people answered and said, "His blood be on us and on our children."

Though the Jews and the Romans were the main players at the time, it is actually humankind that required a 'propitiation' for sin, whether actually there or not for 'all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God' (Romans 3:23). So no human should feel 'innocent' of the need for a Savior and perhaps try to justify themselves of the cruel death of Our Lord by not being part of the act itself. Each and everyone of us 'killed Jesus.' And the Father shows His enormous love for each of us by allowing this event to happen (John 3:16).

What is the significance of Jesus coming to the cross as king?

The Jews of the day did not accept that Jesus was the King of the Jews or the Kingdom of God. They killed him for claiming he was the King as he was the Son of God and the Messiah. The verbal reason the Jews gave to the roman ruler was Jesus proclamation at being the king of the Jews but they killed him for far deeper reasons than that. Their hearts had been hardened and they would not accept Jesus as the Messiah and his truthful teaching and revealing the Pharisees and Sadducee were hypocrites AND most of all because HE OUTRIGHT TOLD THEM HE WAS GOD OR EQUAL TO GOD. Oh, how they hated him saying I AM and I and the Father are one.
