The stamp you are referring to is an early trademark of The Pfaltzgraff Pottery Co. This stamp was used around 1930 to the early 1940's. The shape itself is a keystone derived from Pennsylvania, the keystone state. This stamp can be found with the word "York" inside of the keystone as well as the letter "P". Pfaltzgraff was founded in York Pennsylvania in 1811 and was manufactured by York County natives until 2005 when the company was purchased by Lifetime Brands and all manufacturing was moved outside of the USA to places such as Mexico and China. There is an increasing demand for the older, hand made, pieces that were made in the USA.
