∙ 14y agohe is not the only surviver beatrice also survived because there was a secret tunnel under the baudelaire mansion and plus in beatrice letters beatrice was sending messeges after the fire saying she needs 2 find violet , klaus and sunny .

∙ 14y agoBertrand Baudelaire was imagined to be the one parent that survived. No one knows for sure, however, but most of the speculation shows that Bertrand Baudelaire was the parent that survived.

Count Olaf sets the hospital on fire, and Violet, Klaus and Sunny are trapped in a store cupboard. Violet wakes up in time to invent something to get the three siblings out of the burning building, and because they are believed to be murderers, the book ends with them climbing into the trunk of Olaf's car as he drives away, to escape from being captured by the authorities.

He is one of Denoument triplets. He and Kit had a relationship; he's the father of her child. He was introduced in Book 12 (The Penultimate Peril). He died at the end of Book 12(he was shot in the chest with a harpoon gun). The Baudelaires were accused of his murder, even though it wasn't really their fault. He was really nice; the Baudelaires loved him and hoped that he would become their guardian.

The question is never fully answered and remains a mystery. From what I have read it is revealed in the autobiography that Beatrice (the woman Lemony Snicket loves and is always talking about) is in fact their mother. Did the mothers of Kane and The Undertaker die in a fire when they were children?
Our contributors disagree:NoYes, apparently The Undertaker set alight a small business that this family owned, and both of his parents died as well as one of his brothers. Kane was inside when the place was on fire but he survived with multiple cu, burns, and bruises. If you look at one of his eye's you can clearly see that it was so hurt from the fire that it messed up his eye.It's a contact lens. If you search for his real name and look at his family photos, you will see his eye is fine.
If you drank gasoline and survived would your urine be flammable?
