Yes. Mankind has interacted for millions of years. Most of Europe was doing well, so

Spain sent Columbus to "the new world" and Vasco de Gama went to South America.

Most interactions were just like today. "hi.. how are you"... Language would bring obvious challenges, but, many people intermarried with Native Americans.

Humans need contact, otherwise they'd probably go nuts and die!
