Ramadan is not celebrated. Ramadan is the 9th month In The Islamic Lunar Calendar. Muslims fast during the month of Ramadan, because the Holy Quran Was Revealed To Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) During this month. Eid Al-Fitr which occurs after the month of Ramadan is the actual celebration.
It is Islam religion per Quran revelation by God to prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Ramadan has been celebrated for thousands of years. It is a month of fasting where you may only eat before dawn and after the sun goes down.
The festival is called in Arabic 'Eid milad-un-Nabi'. However, it is to be emphasized that practicing this festival is not per religion; as the two festivals after end of Ramadan and that during hajj. Celebrating prophet Muhammad birthday, although not per religion, but it is not forbidden. It is considered as good occasion to remind Muslims with the prophet Muhammad teachings and morals and to renew the intention of following and adopting prophet Muhammad guides.
well....islam is based on the five pillars which include prayer, hajj, charity, faith, and fasting during the month of ramadan.......and we believe that Allah is the onyl god and Muhammad was his last prophet
the first revelation of the Qur'an to Muhammad
During the year when Prophet Muhammad lived.
Yes, Ramadan is a religious festival observed by Muslims worldwide. It is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar and is a time of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. Muslims believe that during Ramadan, the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.
Muslims believe that Laylat al-Qadr is the night in which the Qur'an was first revealed to the Prophet Muhammad and it is considered the most holy night of the year. Laylat al-Qadr is believed to have occurred on an odd-numbered night during the last 10 days of Ramadan, either the night of the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th. If Laylat al-Qadr falls on the 27th day of Ramadan this year then that is why the 27th is important this year.
~Muhammad was his son-in-law. Abu Bakr was a close companion to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the first man believed in Muhammad prophesy and accepting Islam religion. Abu was the only companion to Prophet Muhammad during his Immigration from Mecca (Makkah) to Medina. Abu Bakr is the father of Aisha, (may God be pleased with her) Prophet Muhammad wife. Abu Bakr was the 1st Caliph (Ruler) after prophet Muhammad death.
yes Muslims try to do it during Ramadan because that was what prophet Mohammed did during Ramadan he and gabriel were reading whole of the Qur'an to each other. and now Muslims try to do the same either by themselves or with a group of friends
As per my research 9. Ramadan fastings were ordered in 2HJ and prophet died in 11HJ in Rabiul awal prior Ramadan that year.
