That's quite a silly question...
But, to answer it, I hightly doubt it.
The Irish couldn't stop food being exported to England because England had full power over the country. The Irish had no choice. At the time, it was highly unusual for any country to export all the good products first before feeding their own country, that's how bad it was. The simply ate potatoes and drnak milk, the only two things left after what was exported to England's extraordianary demand for food and raw materials.
Now, I'm not sure how you got the whole 'shooting' thing, because the English wouldn't have set foot in Ireland to shoot them! They thought of the Irish as dirty and poor and wouldn't go near them, even if it killed them. Or, if not, they were pretty ignorant as to what was going on.

Yes. Many Irish people still speak Irish every day. It is a compulsory subject in Irish schools and required for some jobs. --- They did, but after the famine they were forced to speak english. This was because many Irish emigrated to england, America and Australia to look for jobs. In schools, the children were beaten if they spoke Irish in order to get them to learn it faster. Thanks to those events, Ireland isn't really the same with Irish anymore.
There was a famine in Ireland, known as the Great Famine, or the Irish Potato Famine. Over a million people died during the 7 years between 1845 to 1852. This drove many Irish to immigrate to to the United States.
The shamrock was the symbol flown on US relief ships during the Irish potato famine.
Most of the immigration was caused by the potato famine, but some were caused when their king had switched to a England church because of his marriage. That caused England to be in control of Ireland which left them weak. Another when the black plague had spread to them from England and the Irish were mad at them cause now, England had made most of their troubles.

THE ENGLISH LOOKED UPON THE IRISH AS NOTHING MORE THAN HEATHENS. DURING THE POTATO FAMINE THE ENGLISH WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR 100,s of 1000,S OF IRISH DEATHS. SIMILAR IF NOT WORSE THAN THE NAZI,S WERE TO THE JEWISH.
