The Americans, British, Canadians and French resistance were the invading forces. The Germans were the defenders.
The French Revolution took place between 1789 and 1799.
A majority of the fighting took place in France. Which is why the French wanted to punish the Germans so badly after the first world war. This was called the Western Front, which was where the Germans were fighting the British and the French. Battles were also fought in Turkey, and also in Russia (or at least what was apart of Russia at the time). There was also a battle in Bulgaria as well. I'm pretty sure those are all of the battles but I am not positive. To summarize: France Turkey Russia Bulgaria I hope this helps you.
The World War I Peace Conference took place in Paris, but was signed as the Treaty of Versailles in the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles, outside of Paris. The treaty was signed on June 28, 1919.
It began with the Declaration of Independence on 4 July 1776 and ended with the Treaty of Paris is 1783.
French surrender to Nazis also known as Second Armistice took place at Northern French town of Compiegne. This was a deliberate choice of Hitler as Compiegne was the same place where first armistice took place after World War I after Germany's surrender.
The Confederates had abandoned Richmond, and they were trying to head West, but ran out of steam at Appomattox Court House. Tha was where the surrender took place - officially an armistice, not a treaty. But it is taken as the end-point of the Civil War.
Short story: The Germans invaded Poland, September 1939, and broke the Treaty of Versailles.
It ended when the Germans agreed in Nov 1918 to sign an agreement to end the war, and the Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28, 1919. The day on which fighting ended was November 11, 1918. This was memorialized as Armistice Day and later renamed Veterans Day in the US.It didnt end in 1 specific place. The last country to join the central powers, Bulgaria, was the first to surrender. The war ended on the Western Front, with an Armistice, at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. The Germans signed the surrender in a railway carriage in the Forest of Compegnie, the same place Hitler accepted the French surrender in 1940.
The Battle of New Orleans - because news of the surrender had not reached the troops in Louisiana.

Compiegne was the place in France where Germany officially agreed to the armistice that ended the war. It took place in one of the cars in the train belonging to the French general, Foch. In 1940, when Germany defeated France in World War II, Hitler made the French sign their surrender in the same train car that the Germans had surrendered in in 1918 (the French had made it into a memorial). Afterward, Hitler had the train destroyed except for the one car, which was destroyed later as Germany lost that war too.
Place of surrender of German forces in Italy in 1945 was Caserta. John
Acadia is where the great deportation took place. The french gave over Acadia in a treaty and kept their small cod fishery.
