Best Answer

The German Nazi regime carried out the Holocaust during World War 2, but most of the major killing centres were in Nazi-occupied Poland, and the mass open air killings took place largely in Poland, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia and Ukraine.

The Holocaust - in the sense of genocide and other systematic mass killings - took place mainly in Poland, the Soviet Union and in various other parts of Eastern Europe. Germany had concentration camps, mainly for opponents of the Nazi regime, habitual criminals and some others.

Where does the Holocaust occur?

right now it occurs in the survivors and to some degree in the surviving perpetrators. This of course depends uopn your definition of the Holocaust, if you believe that it stopped with the surrender of Nazi Germany and that anyone who died the next day did not die because of the Holocaust, then you would say that it does not occur anymore, but if you believe that it is still occuring until the last survivor dies, then it is occuring where they are.
