It is unclear what "the Jews" are. If the question is asking about Jews as individuals, then yes, Jews have lied. Jews are no different than any other group of humans and are just as susceptible to lying as people of other religions. However, Judaism as a religion prohibits lying as Leviticus 19:11 attests.
If this question is asking if the Jews as a collective are lying, usually in the sense that there is a secret Jewish cabal running affairs or that Jews intentionally present beliefs that run counter to the truth as Propaganda, this is not the case. Jews have consistently been very honest about what they believe and why they believe it. There is no secret Jewish cabal because the way that Judaism operates is complicated but clearly described and the events in Jewish History match with what would naturally occur without the need for the conspiracy theory.

They weren't. Considering that Germany did not allow Jews to do much of anything, the Jewish people were not greedy with money to the Germans or anyone else for that matter. This was just a lie to blame everything on the Jews and to make it easier to kill as many of them as possible.
