YES We do, I am a Miami Indian born and raised in Ft Wayne Ind along the three rivers. I am Great Great Granddaughter of Little Turtle by second Wife who did die along with over half of the Wa Bash river longhouse tribe. My Grandmother and Grandfather were both full blood who farmed 88 ac along with 37 head of milk cows. This 88ac was the home of her mothers mother the old house burnt in the late 1800`s which had any proof of our claim. I have put together enough proof to stand on our claim, Also I have the belt of my mothers which is a very old beaded belt that tells the story of our people which did manage to make it to my mother along with jewelry. I go to pow wow with my sister tribe in Miami OK due to work ended in Ft Wayne when the International Harvester put allot of my family out of work so off to Texas where jobs are everywhere. So There you go this is my Miami story please feel free to look me up on my tribal space .com

PS: I have had lunch EVERY Yr of my elm school at Little Turtle grave, O and Johnny Appleseed which are located in Ft Wayne Please stop by and pay respects to both if you get that way.

Thanks for a chance to tell my peoples story Autumn Fall Fox ( BEAR )

Yes, they do. They reside primarily in Oklahoma, but there are some who have moved back to Ohio where they originally lived in the 18th- and 19th-century. Miami University in Oxford, Ohio is named after the Miami (Myammia) people. The school hosts a language program run by Miami scholars.
