The Roman Catholic Church didn't rule from 538AD to 1798.

In 538AD the Goths withdrew from their siege of Rome. But they didn't ceise to exist. To the contrary, a few years later they became as powerful as ever. The Byzantyne empire came to an end and so was the defunct West Roman Empire.

538AD signifies nothing to strengthen the power of the Pope, despite what Seventh Day Adventists tell you.

Actually, there us no day=year principle in The Bible. All prophecies are given as they meant to be. In days, meaning days, or months and years meaning months and years.

I just wanted to comment on why so many think 538ad is correct.

In 533 A.D. Justinian, the emperor of the Eastern Roman Empire, legally recognized the bishop (pope) of Rome as the head of all the Christian churches.

But in bible Prophesy, 3 horns had to be uprooted before the "little horn" became a power.

Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

the last of the 3 horns rooted up was the Ostrogoths that held Rome. That is why the date 538 stands firm.

The roman catholic church was before that date and a lot of things happen after too, but if you follow the timing the bible sets,( the 3 horns(kingdoms) uprooted) Then you will come to 538 without any question.

In 1798 the French general Berthier, with a French army, marched into Rome and proclaimed the political rule of the Papacy at an end and took the Pope prisoner. The Pope was removed to France where he died in exile.

This was the end of the "political rule" in the bible you have to have political power to become a beast. Therefore 1798 was the end of the 1260year timeperiode as a beast.

A lot of other times is set and a lot of other dates are used to determine when the catholic church ruled, but the reason for this timeperiode is biblical and if you use the biblical timeperiode you also have to use the biblical terms for when this time starts and ends. I hope everybody understood that

Is the Catholic church the name historians gavce formation of many protestant churches during the 16th century?

The name "catholic" means universal, so the "catholic church" is all the believers in Christ all over the world. The organized church was more (or less) one church until the Eastern Orthodox church split from the Roman Catholic church, which was (and is) headquartered in Rome. At the time of the Protestant Reformation, the Protestant churches left the rule of the Roman Catholic church and formed their own denominations (such as Lutherans, Baptists, Presbyterians). Sometimes people use the term "catholic" when they really should use the term Roman Catholic, so things can get confused.

Is Roman Catholic Christian?

Roman Catholic AnswerYes, of course, the Roman Catholic Church is the Church that was founded by Jesus Christ who sent the Holy Spirit at Pentecost to be with it and guide it in all truth until the end of time. He appointed Peter as the His first Vicar on earth (the first Pope) and he and his successors will rule the Church of Christ until Jesus returns. Jesus guaranteed that His Church would remain One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic. The use of the word, Christian, to refer to practically anyone and anything these days is to be deplored. The use of the word, Christian, to exclude the Catholic Christian Church is either hubris or ignorance.

Did Catholic nuns travel alone in the 1950?

It's just Catholic, not Roman Catholic. Roman is an epithet first commonly used in England after the protestant revolt to describe the Catholic Church. It is never used by the official Catholic Church. And you are probably thinking of Catholic Sisters, who taught in schools and worked in hospitals. Nuns were enclosed in monasteries and did not normally travel. Sisters did not travel alone, but normally were required by their rule to always travel in pairs.

How did the Catholic Church rule most Europe 100s of years ago?

Roman Catholic AnswerThe Catholic Church, at most, could be said to have rule a fair portion of Italy for hundreds of years for the simple reason that the Roman government fell and left no one in charge to provide for the upkeep of the sewers. Outside of the papal states, though, the Church never ruled most of Europe, or even large portions of it. However, since nearly all of the European Kings and Princes were Catholic, at least up until the 16th century, they were educated and brought up with Christian values, and rightly deferred to the Church in spiritual matters. But the Church never "ruled most of Europe for hundreds of years."
