The Boston Tea Party was a protest done by the Son's of Liberty as a protest to the harsh Tea Tax that the British instituted. Ultimately Boston won that small protest, but it spawned the beginning of the American Revolutionary war.
The Boston Tea Party was a protest of the lowering of the cost of the British tea by the government and the East India tea company who had gotten a bail out from the crown in 1773. The smugglers in the colonies found the Dutch tea that they sold was higher in price than the British tea, so they staged the Boston Tea Party and others in harbors in the colonies ( Hamilton was one of the largest smugglers in the colonies and a founding member of the Son's of Liberty). The cost of tea also went as far back as the Navigation Acts and the restricting of trade to and from the colonies passed from 1650-1733. Tea was also taxed in 1767 in the Townsend Acts.
They didn't win anything. They actually lost a lot of things. First, they were asked to pay back all of the tea that they had dumped and secondly, they had gotten less and less respect after the Boston Tea Party.
So, this wasn't "A Win-Win" situation, it was "A Lose-Win" situation.
the british dead!
Of course, the organizers of the Tea Party would like you to think that they are acting in the tradition of the American Revolution, but personally I see little similarity. The original Boston Tea Party was a protest against a colonial power; the current Tea Party is a protest against a democratically elected government. Whether you like him or not, Barack Obama did win the Presidential election, fair and square. He is not the modern equivalent of King George III who was never elected by anybody.
The battle at Lexington/concord because it was the first big American win. It proved to France that we deserved their supplies and aid; they gave us aid after they knew our victory. The Battle of Yorktown is important because that was the war in which we won our freedom.
They probably will win some in the future
the West
No, the Patriots won. It wasn't really a fight though, the British didn't even fight back.
