Islam as An Arabic word means submission to God and surrender to His will. In this sense Islam is the message and religion since start of the universe creation. It was the message of all God prophets since Adam through Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (Peace be upon them). All God prophets called their followers to work; to work for God worship and to work for mankind and our planet prosperity and development. In Quran, you always find faith is coupled with work. Whenever in Quran God is promising rewards and forgiveness, God say 'the faithful and who are doing good'. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said in more than one occasion that who works for himself and family is better than who stays in ritual worship all over the day and ask others to give him/her to eat and survive. Work for ones benefit, his/her community, and environment improvement is of very important ranking in Muslim society. Prophet urged his followers to work to the extent that if the Surrender day comes and one has seeds in his/her hands to be planted, he/she should plant them. Many other examples in Quran and prophet Muhammad (PBUH) sayings and practices urges Muslims for work.
