No. Vampires have never "lived" and they come from a time of superstition and myth. People often explain things, when there is no science, by making up gods, monsters, and other things to give them answers. Vampires come from that. Centuries ago people were often buried alive and if/when they were dug up evidence showed that they had been alive at some point, so vampires became part of the reason why.
Very few people of the Middle Ages believed in vampires, and when they did, it was because of the continuation in local folklore of ancient beliefs. The widespread interest in vampires appeared in Europe only long after the Middle Ages ended.
Vampires were first heard of very long ago. It's very hard to keep a record of such things. but I do know that in the middle ages, people would go on witch hunts and vampire burnings. Vampires were believed to be of the devil. The germanic tribes of the middle ages also were said to have stories and myths about the vampires, the cold paled creatures of the night.
