another disadvantage is that you need the telephone to have access to the internet and during that perioud of time you wont beable to receive or make phone calls.

In person, you can see what kind of expression or body language a person has, and you can share a meal, a drink, whatever, while talking. You can hug. It is a richer experience. Furthermore, there are costs to using a phone, the phone company is charging you something and the phone itself cost something.
