You should state what kind of comparison you wish to make. Possibly you mean what is the disadvantage of talking to someone over the phone rather than in person. In person, you can see what kind of expression or body language a person has, and you can share a meal, a drink, whatever, while talking. You can hug. It is a richer experience. Furthermore, there are costs to using a phone, the phone company is charging you something and the phone itself cost something.
