Remove magazine, check chamber to be SURE weapon holds NO ammunition. Point in a safe direction, release safety, pull trigger to release striker. Use blunt item such as a ball point pen to push in take-down button on rear of slide. Hold in button, lift rear of slide free from frame, gently release button. Side can be moved forward off the barrel. Firing pin and spring can be removed from slide. STOP and do not disassemble further.
