it is not safe to fire 16 gauge shell in anything but a 16 gauge. No shells will interchange with other gauge guns since a 16 gauge shell would fit in a 12 gauge chamber, I would think you can do this.
what shells can be used in a browning 16 guage autoloader
Standard 16 gauge shotgun shells.
Yes.
The only length I've seen is 2 3/4 in shells. That is the length of the chamber on my Model 77-B in 16 gauge. Early guns, those made prior to the 1930s may have 2 1/2 inch or 2 5/8 inch chambers, So, while modern 16 gauge shells are 2 3/4", early 16 gauge shells were 2 1/2".
1926 IS THE YEAR THAT WINCHESTER WENT TO STANDARDIZED 2-3/4" LENGTHS ON THEIR 16 AND 20 GAUGE SHELLS.
Actually the shotgun uses 16 gauge shells i have the same shotgun
Your Browning Sweet 16 is a 16 gauge shotgun that can handle shells that are 2 and 3/4 inches in length. You might also purchase 2.5 inch shells for this shotgun.
Some are 12 gauge, some are 16 gauge. The MX16 is a 12 gauge frame; same frame size for both gauges.
No
Yes the stock on a Winchester Model 12 16 gauge is the same as a 20 gauge. 16 gauge,20 gauge, and 28 gauge are all the same for the Winchester Model 12. Thanks, Tim
Not sure about the 12 guage but the 16 takes 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 inch shells probably the same for 12.
