The short answer is a resounding NO. Canada has had MOST favored nation status (more than any other nation) with the US forever. We've collaborated in world wars, police actions, law enforcement, trade, scientific research, and a million other fields. In spite of the recent trend to rib each other, the Canadian and American people are far more alike than they are different.
While the two countries don't always see eye to eye, most people on both sides view this as healthy and productive.
It's my professional opinion that any potential NatSec threat posed by Canada is virtually nil, and is entirely offset by the deep and broad benefits we both receive from this unique collaboration.
