Well they were broken up between about the middle of season 2 and the beginning of season 3. Because of all of the stuff that happened with the tour and Chris. They did get back together though and planned to renew their vows. In season 5 they broke up because Haley caught Nathan and their nanny: Carrie in a compromising position. But Nathan kept trying to tell her that she kept coming on to him and he had no interest in her what so ever. They eventually rekindled. So they have broken up. But they have never got a divorce. Because there love can survive anything. They are soulmates. And they are still happily married.

No they do not, they go through some hard times when some women states she is pregnant with Nathans baby however this is not true and they stand by each others side the whole time as Haley knows Nathan would never cheat on her
