Whether or not to hire an attorney is a question that only you can answer. You'll need to consider your financial situation, whether you qualify for appointed counsel, what kind of defense you would like to raise and how you hope to resolve your case.

Personally, I would never recommend forgoing an attorney when charged with a crime, especially a felony. However, this is my opinion.
