Assuming you are asking whether JWs have a restriction against the consumption of caffeine, and the answer is no they do not have any such restriction. They do not see anything wrong with the consumption of beverages containing caffeine. There is nothing in The Bible, their primary source of guidance which would condemn the consumption of caffeine.

For a member of the L.D.S. Church not to drink caffeine is a personal decision that each member has taken upon his/her self to follow.

The 'Word of Wisdom' was given as a Revelation (D&C 89) for members of the L.D.S. Church by their Prophet Joseph Smith in 1833. The 'Word of Wisdom' requires members NOT to drink hot drinks (coffee or tea) and strong drinks (wine, alcohol & beer).

Starting in 1918, official church publications have occasionally published articles by medical practitioners that warn of the health risks of consuming caffeine.

With reference to cola drinks, the Church has never officially taken a position on this matter, but the leaders of the Church have advised, and we do now specifically advise, against the use of any drink containing harmful habit-forming drugs under circumstances that would result in acquiring the habit. Any beverage that contains ingredients harmful to the body should be avoided. (Priesthood Bulletin, Feb. 1972)

However, in November 2010, the Salt Lake Tribune noted that in the 2010 church Handbook, which sets out the official position of the church on health and social issues, no position on drinking Coca-Cola or caffeinated drinks is included.

Note: Almost all of the ENERGY Drinks contain caffeine and some over the counter medicines. If you are concerned about an item that has caffeine in it, READ THE LABEL. Here are some of the beverages or sodas that contain caffeine, but notice that some of the beverages are Creme Sodas, Root Beers and Oranges. Here is a list:

Actually, many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) do drink caffeine. It is a personal choice. Mormons are asked to avoid any "harmful" and "habit-forming substances" - some believe this includes caffeine and others do not. Most Mormons would probably drink a caffeinated soda, but not something with a higher caffeine content such as energy drinks or caffeine pills (unless subscribed by a medical professional).

Mormons do avoid alcoholic drinks, coffee, and most teas, as these have been specifically mentioned by Church leaders.

I don't know if saying they 'don't believe in caffeine' is the right way to put it... Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) follow a health code called The Word of Wisdom. The Word of Wisdom says that we should avoid all "strong drinks" and "hot drinks". Church leaders over the years have defined these as anything alcoholic, coffee, tea, or 'containing harmful or addictive substances'. Caffeine has never been specifically mentioned, so it is a personal choice whether a Church member decides to drink caffeinated sodas or not. Some choose not to, but many Mormons drink caffeinated sodas on a regular basis.
