Not really. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) don't have many celebrations that are unique to them, they usually follow the same celebrations and traditions as other Christian groups. Yellow is not a significant color within Mormonism or Mormon traditions.

Mormon events in which yellow might be a common theme are:

-Welcoming missionaries home. It is a tradition in the United States to use yellow ribbons to support the military and to welcome them home from the front. Mormons extend this tradition to missionaries as well, often tying yellow ribbons on trees or making yellow banners to celebrate the return of a missionary.

-Boy Scout 'Blue and Gold' banquets. Mormons tend to be very heavily involved in Boy Scouts, and may decorate their church buildings with yellow and blue for the annual Blue and Gold Banquet.

-Young Women (girls youth group) events. The Young Women in the church follow a set of values, each symbolized by a color. Good Works is represented by yellow, and Virtue by gold. If they are having a big event with either of these two themes, yellow decorations might be used.

-Weddings. Of course every bride chooses her own wedding colors, but yellow has recently been a popular wedding color. A Mormon church hosting a wedding might be decorated in yellow for the event.

-Funerals. Mormons do not usually follow the black, somber funeral traditions. Instead, they use funerals as a celebration of the deceased's life, and often decorate with flowers that are the favorite color of that individual.

Yellow tends to be a popular decorating color for many Mormons. It is well associated with bees, beehives, gold plates, and the statue of Moroni - all widely recognized Mormon symbols. It also is a cheery color that helps to calm the nerves and put people in a happier mood.
