∙ 7y agoSome of the stories are the same in Christianity and Islam, but the most important story in Christianity is wholly missing from Islam. To Christians, Jesus was the son of God, but to Muslims he was little more than a prophet, like Isaiah on the one hand and Muhammad on the other. The divinity of Jesus is so central to Christianity that, rather than Islam being much the same story, it is a denial of the Christian story.
Additionally, smaller important events are also different between Christians and Muslims. For example, Christians believe that Abraham almost sacrificed Isaac whereas Muslims believe it was Ishmael. Christians believe that Moses sinned by hitting the rock instead of speaking to it in addition to murdering the Egyptian taskmaster, while Muslims believe that Moses' only sin was the murder. Christians believe that at the End of Days, Christ will be resurrected to fight the Anti-Christ, while Muslims believe that Jesus never died and imposter was crucified to allow Jesus to fight the Anti-Christ without resurrection.
