Answer 1Jesus never claimed himself as son of God.

Bible is corrupted centries ago.

Quran never corrupted.

First ask- is Bible corrupted? is Quran word of God?

When you find out which one is uncorrupted then come to this question.

(a) "Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying Eli, Eli, lama sabachtani? . . ." (Matthew 27:46)

(b) "And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord:" (Mark 12:29)

(c) "And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is God." (Mark 10:18).

Even a child will be able to affirm that: Jesus "cried"Jesus "answered" and Jesus "said" are the words of the one to whom they are attributed, i.e. the WORDS OF A PROPHET OF GOD.

Answer 2In Islam religion, Jesus (peace be upon him) is believed as one of the greatest prophets and one of the greatest messengers of God to mankind.

Quran reflects real God words revelation to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in real Arabic words (that is still a live language) that never altered and is recited continuously in all prayers (salah) and is known by heart by so many millions of Muslims allover the world without single word change.

In the Quran, there is a complete chapter (or Surah) titled 'Maryam' (Mary) that confirms Maryam virgin birth. The Quran states the following on the birth of Jesus (peace be upon him):

{(Remember) when the angels said, "O Mary, God gives you good news of a word from Him (God), whose name is the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, revered in this world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (to God). He will speak to the people from his cradle and as a man, and he is of the righteous." She said, "My Lord, how can I have a child when no mortal has touched me?" He said, "So (it will be). God creates what He wills. If He decrees a thing, He says to it only, 'Be!' and it is."} (Quran, chapter 3, verses 45-47)

Jesus was born as miracle by the word and command of God. This command is, as said in Quran, the same command that had brought Adam into being with neither a father nor a mother. God has said in Quran:

{The case of Jesus with God is like the case of Adam. He created him from dust, and then He said to him, "Be!" and he came into being.} (Quran, chapter 3, verse 59)

During the prophetic mission of Jesus (peace be upon him), Jesus performed many miracles. God tells us that Jesus said:

{I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. I make for you the shape of a bird out of clay, I breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by God's permission. I heal the blind from birth and the leper. And I bring the dead to life by God's permission. And I tell you what you eat and what you store in your houses....}

(Quran, chapter 3, verse 49)

Muslims believe that Jesus was not crucified. They believe that the enemies of Jesus (peace upon him) plotted and planned to crucify Jesus. However, God miraculously saved Jesus and raised him up to Him (to God). God, the all Powerful and the all Capable, put the likeness of Jesus (peace upon him) over another man. The enemies of Jesus (peace upon him) thought that the this other man is Jesus and they took him and crucified him. God has said:

{...They said, "We killed the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of God." They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but the likeness of him was put on another man (and they killed that man)... }

(Quran, chapter 4, verse 157)

Quran says: "They have certainly disbelieved who say, "Allah (or God and same God worshiped in Christianity and Judaism) is the Messiah, the son of Mary" while the Messiah has said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates others with Allah - Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers. " (5:72).

Quran says also that:"They have certainly disbelieved who say, "Allah is the third of three." And there is no god except one God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful punishment. So will they not repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messenger; [other] messengers have passed on before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth. They both used to eat food. Look how We make clear to them the signs; then look how they are deluded. " (5:73-75)

It is worthy to emphasize that both Jesus (peace upon him) and Mohamed, or may be spelled Muhammad, (peace upon him) came to mankind to call for worshiping only and the only one God. Neither of them nor Moses came to change the basic doctrine of the belief in one and only God. this doctrine that was brought by earlier prophets from including Noah, Abraham, Isac, Jacob, David, Solomon, and others. both Jesus (peace upon him) and Mohamed received the revelation from God to confirm and renew the doctrine of worshiping one (and only one) God.

Answer 3Muslims hold that several lines in the New Testament that allude to or directly state Jesus' divinity (including Mark 3:9-12, 5:7, 9:7-8, 13:36, John 1:32-34, 3:16, 5:17-30, 10:30, 10:36) are all forgeries and corruptions of the original gospel. They, therefore, have no need to address the claims of Jesus being God because all of those claims that are attributed to him are done so falsely. Answer 4 (A hint on Answer 3)

Muslims believe in the God holy book The Bible as revelations of God to Jesus (peace be upon him) the same way they believe also in the Torah as revelations of God to Moses (peace be upon him) . However, they believe of course in Quran as the last God holy book that reflects real God revelations to prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in Arabic words (a language that is still alive) and Quran was not subject to any modifications or alterations as it was written on the time of its revelations over 23 years and was recited daily and was kept by heart by millions of Muslims. Accordingly, any contradictions with what is mentioned in Quran are viewed as deviations and alterations from true God revelation words to both prophets Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them) especially that the revelation languages of both holy book; Torah and the bible; are no longer alive languages and that both books were written hundreds of years after their revelation time.

Yes, Muslims believe that Jesus is a prophet and one of the five greatest prophets: Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them). Jesus is called in Arabic Isa (you find also same name Isa in Arabic versions of the Bible).

No. Muslims believe that Jesus was the Messiah (although they understand that term differently from Christians and Jews) and an important Prophet. However, they do not believe him to be a Divinity or part of God or the Son of God.

No. Muslims believe that Jesus is a God prophet, like Mohammed.

"Prophet" is their top category for religious founders. Muslims have no concept of "Christs" or God-men, although their own Prophet, Mohammed, does carry an extra-special designation of "Rasul" or "messenger." The distinction is that a prophet expresses God's will to humans, but a messenger carries His actual words.

Muslims believe in the oneness & the uniqueness of God. Allah (the only true one God) has no partner, no parents, no son & no similar. Jesus peace be upon Him wasn't Allah's son but His prophet. Jesus was born in a miraculous way without a father, that's the will & the omnipotence of Allah but this doesn't make Jesus PBUH the son of Allah. Also, Adam PBUH had no parents at all & He wasn't the son of Allah.

B:

Additionally, Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet, because Allah says so via the Quran. Allah (via the Quran) points to things Jesus himself said as proofs of him being a prophet. Jesus said that the Father in heaven is greater than himself. He said that he can do of his own self nothing except the Father's will. When Jesus was questioned by the Jews of the time about the statement of him being the 'son of God', he responded that he is the son of God just as the Children of Isreal is the sons of God.

Read the Quran to understand why Muslims believe Jesus to be a prophet. The Quran addresses the issue extensively.

C:

According to the Bible Luke 4:24, Jesus called himself a Prophet - "Truly I tell you," he (Jesus) continued, "no prophet is accepted in his hometown". This was Jesus speaking after his people - the Jews rejected him.

According to the Bible Matthew 21:11 - people who saw Jesus in the flesh called him a Prophet - The crowds answered, "This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee."

According to the Bible, Jesus claimed he was sent (as a Prophet) by God in John 17:3 -Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent".

And there are many other verses in the New Testament where Jesus used 'sent' and to my understanding of English language anyone who claim he was sent is claiming to be a "messenger" or a Prophet.

Why did God sent Muhammad to appose Christianity and then Jesus to start the Christian faith?

You are confusing two religions. Christians believe that Jesus Christ came to die for our sins and allow us an eternity with God. They believe that he is the Son of God. Muslims believe that Jesus was only a prophet. They believe that Muhammad was God's most high prophet.

What are Muslims and Catholics?

They are both religions. They believe in a different God. No, they believe in the same God but do not consider him as having three distinct persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus is considered as only a prophet by the Muslims and not the Son of God.

Why is it so hard for Muslims to believe Jesus is the only god?

It is not terribly hard for them to understand the belief; most Muslims are aware of how Christians have ascribed divinity to Jesus. They just disagree with the belief because the Qur'an holds that Jesus was not God, the Son of God, or some other Divinity. The Qur'an states quite clearly that Jesus was a Prophet, an important prophet, but nothing beyond human.

What do most Muslims believe?

All Muslims believe that Allah (God in English) is the one and only one God and that prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is His prophet and messenger. See related question on Islam fundamentals.

Why would muslims choose muhammed over Jesus?

Muslims love both Muhammad and Jesus. Muslims don't believe that Jesus is God though and Muslims believe that Muhammad is just a man, not a God like how Christians believe Jesus is. Jesus is loved throughout the Muslim community and is regarded as the "messiah" but not as God. Islam teaches that God is 1 and God needs no partners

How many views do muslims have on Jesus Christ?

There is only one view of the Muslims about Hazrat Jesus. The Muslims believe in all the holy Prophets (May peace be upon them all). They do believe in Hazrat Jesus Christ (AS) a Prophet. He is also called by the Name of Messiah in the holy Qur'an. But the Muslims don't believe him the SON of Almighty God. The Muslims consider it the Greatest, Severest and Unpardonable sin to associate parents, of-spring, or Associate with Almighty God. He is the Sole Creator, Sustainer, Provider and Ruler of all the creation.

Who was the Muslims' first prophet?

Muslims believe in all prophets Allah sent since Adam, and believe in their books and laws, but only follow the Holy Quran with the Sunnah which they learned from Prophet Muhammad, the Last Prophet God sent, may peace be upon him

Why can't Muslims agree with Christians about the divinity of Jesus if they claim they both worship the same God?

A:Christians believe that Jesus is the divine Son of God. Muslims believe there is only one God and that Jesus was a human prophet and not in any way divine, although they accept that he will return to earth to usher in the Day of Judgement. On this much there can be no compromise - either Jesus is divine or he is not. Given that there can be no compromise, either Christians must give up their belief in the diinity of Jesus, or Muslims must give up their belief that there is only one God with no son. Neither alternative is likely.
