Best Answer

The religious book for all Muslims to refer and adhere to is the Holy Al Quran, revealed to Allah's last Messenger, Muhammad SAW. And the Holy Quran is the last of the five (5) books of scriptures from Allah SWT to his Messengers (prophets) Musa as (Moses pbuh), Daud as (David pbuh), Isa as (Jesus pbuh) and last but not least Muhammad SAW (Mohammed pbuh). Musa was bestowed the Taurat (Torah), Daud the Zaboor, Isa the Injil (New Testament).

Yes, of course. Muslims sacred book is the Qur'an. Quran was revealed by Allah (or God in English and same God in Christianity and Judaism) to prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through the angel Gabriel (or Jibril) through the period from 610 to 632 AD.

Answer 1

The total number of holy books revealed to different Prophets is not known for certain. The holy Prophets (May peace be upon them all) may be divided into Two categories. Rasools having their new Sharia. Nabi preaches the old Shariah.

1. Prophets having their Sharieh. They are called Rasools - the most important being Hazrat Adam (AS), Hazrat Noah (AS), Hazrat Abraham (AS), Hazrat Moses (AS), Hazrat Jesus Christ (AS) and the last of all (according to the Muslims) the holy Prophet Muhammad (May peace be upon him).

The holy books were mostly revealed to them. The famous holy books are:

1. Torat revealed to Hazrat Moses (AS). 2. Zaboor to Hazrat David (AS). 3. The Bible to Hazrat Jesus Christ (AS). 4. The Qur'an to The holy Prophet Muhammad (May peace be upon him).

The Muslims believe in all the holy books. But they are commanded to practise the Holy Qur'an. This is the only holy book that claims to be the authentic word of Almighty God. If closely read and understood, the Qur'an testifies and contains many teachings of the old holy books, as the source of all the holy books is the same-Almighty God.

Answer 2

The only holy book for Muslims who are following prophet Muhammad is Quran that is revealed by Allah (or God in English and same God in Judaism and Christianity) to prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through the angel Gabriel (or Jibril). However, Muslims believe in all God prophets (including Moses and Jesus) and all God holy books (including Torah and the Bible). Refer to question below for more information.

Yes, of course. Muslims have several sacred books of which the foremost is the Qur'an. According to Muslims, the Qur'an was God's message to the Prophet Muhammad and was revealed from 610-632 C.E. in small pieces and was later united into one text.
