Well yes and no. people can be allergic to any kind of dog.(except the kind that are especially for people allergic to dogs) people can be allergic to them thogh if your thinking about getting a pug go to a breeder and spend some time around the pugs. nd talk to your doctor forst before you nget one.

Yes Pugs are very prone to allergies, try feeding one of the good quality natural wet dog foods, if you are in UK then 'Forthglade' or 'Nature Diet' not sure what is available in other countries. I find 1/4 tab of Piriton helps my pugs if they have been in contact with stinging nettles or other plants they are allergic to. Also check with the vet for mites or mange just to be safe.
