Lissa, Eddie, Abe etc are trying to find clues to who really had murdered the queen. Rose then figures out that Lissa and a sister and Rose and Dimitri try and find her. To get their they have to find Sonya who is still strigoi. Sydney is also along for the ride and quite a lot of events happen there. I don't want to give away to many details. Then after they find out who is Lissa's sister they persuade her to go to the court to stay with Lissa who is running for queen. Then Rose and Dimitri find out who really killed the queen and in front of the entire court single the person out ( i am not going to give anything away). The person then gets angry and stroms out but not before dhampir officers try to get her. Then she receives a gun and shoots. Due to Rose and Lissa have the bond Rose knows that the bullet was heading straight for Lissa and steps in front of her to take the bullet. Adrian and Lissa both want to help Rose with their spirit healing but were not aloud. Rose makes it through though. Without giving to much details, everything works out well with everyone and Lissa is Queen! Also the bond between Lissa and Rose has gone! Rose dies twice in the series. The first time was when Lissa brought her back using spirit. and the second time was when Lissa was running for Queen at the courtroom. Tasha Ozera intended to kill Lissa with a gun, but instead Rose jumped in front of the bullet and rose from the dead on her own.
