Most veterinarians work a fair amount of overtime, but the pay for doing so varies by clinic. Some veterinarians are paid extra for emergency calls, and veterinarians who are paid on commission will earn extra money based upon the additional clinic income.
Very rarely. Most veterinarians work on either a base salary (which means you get paid the same no matter how many hours you work extra) or on commission (which means the vet gets paid a certain percentage of the money he/she brings in from working for clients). Some veterinarians have negotiated their contracts to include additional payment for emergency calls, however.
This will depend upon the contract the veterinarian negotiated with the clinic. Some veterinarians get time and a half, some get the emergency fee as a salary bonus, some get a commission bonus and some get nothing.
You're supposed to be paid more if you work overtime.
If the management team is paid a salary instead of an hourly wage, then they will not be paid overtime.
yes they do make some money but can be used as donating your time to help.
No.
A worker is paid by how many hours or how long the worker worked overtime. It depends on the company too.
No.
yes
they get paid a cent a day.lol
Unfortunately if your position has a set salary and you are not a hourly paid employee than you are not entitled to being paid for overtime, even in the state of Colorado.
it depends on what kind of size animals you work with larger animal vets get paid more than small animal vets
For most retail jobs, Sunday is not paid overtime. If you work a job that is typically closed on the weekends, it could be. If working Sunday would put you working past 40 hours, and you aren't salaried, then it would be overtime.
it depends on your position
