Is WikiAnswers a person?
WikiAnswers is a website where a community of people answer questions. There are hundreds of volunteer supervisors and thousands of contributors that are involved.
How come you do not get an answer to every question that you ask?
It is because, wikianswers does not answer your questions. Members of wikianswers who volunteer to use the site answer the questions on the topics they are familiar with. Hence there are many questions that are still unanswered.

Who controls WikiAnswers?
WikiAnswers is owned by the Answers Corporation (Answers.com). The head of WikiAnswers Bruce Smith; there are then a team of Community Assistants (see "Related Questions" section of this answer) and finally the volunteer Supervisor team.
Why did people create WikiAnswers?
Wikianswers was created to assist people who had questions that requested them to be answered. It is a community-based, volunteer site that allows anyone to join and be a part of the many things that Wikianswers has to offer. It is a tool that is used to help out younger users and assist them with asking and answering questions correctly and accurately.
Why don't you answer questions right?
The answers on wikianswers are provided by an army of volunteer answerers which are overseen by an army of volunteer supervisors (moderators). Anyone who visits the site is able to ask or answer questions. Due to the volunteering nature of wikianswers, it is inevitable that some questions will receive inappropriate or incorrect answers. Wikianswers' supervisors do their best to catch these and fix them, but with nearly 8 million questions in the database, obviously some will sneak by. If there is some answer in particular which you feel has been inappropriately or incorrectly answered, feel free to fix it yourself... failing that feel free to contact one of wikianswers' friendly supervisors to give it a look see.
Does WikiAnswers give answers?
As many as we can. Sometimes there is no simple answer, or there is no one who has the answer immediately. Some questions take longer to get answers, because everyone here is a volunteer.
Can you get volunteer hours working for WikiAnswers?
No, WikiAnswers is totally voluntary, no community hours are given.

How is it different here than chacha?
ChaCha requires a cell phone and operates through text messaging. WikiAnswers has no requirement other than an internet connection. ChaCha has paid employees who answer questions. WikiAnswers has a community of people who volunteer their time and expertise. ChaCha costs money to ask questions (text messaging rate, at least.) WikiAnswers is completely free. ChaCha questions are private, only seen by you and the operator who answers them. WikiAnswers questions and answers are public, so that anyone can see them and provide answers.
