Timing BELT
The 2.4 liter 4 cylinder has a timing CHAIN but the 3.0 liter V6 has a timing BELT
Belt.
The 2.4 Liter is driven by a chain.
It must be a timing CHAIN . The Gates website does not list a timing belt for the 1.8 liter and the 2.0 liter in a 2007 Honda Civic
The 2.4 liter four cylinder engine in a 2008 Honda CR-V has a timing CHAIN
The 2010 Honda Civic ( 1.8 and 2.0 liter four cylinder engines ) has a timing CHAIN
Honda never put a 2.2 liter motor in any of it's cars in 1986.
Why are you replacing the cam chain on a 2.4 Liter Honda? They will normally last the life of the engine.
The 3.5 liter V6 has a timing BELT ( P.S. it is an interference engine )
The crankshaft sensor is located at the bottom of the engine timing chain cover. Use the owner's manual in case you need help.

It must have a TIMING CHAIN because Gates ( they make timing belts etc. ) does notlist a timing belt for the 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine in a 2002 Honda CRVReferences seem to suggest that 2002 and newer CR-V's have timing chain.
