Well, at school (in science) we are doing a project. Each group has their own guppy family. We never feed them, we are trying to see what guppies eat and what they do in the wild. So we refuse to take care of them, but they have everything they have in a pond, in their tank. And in their we have - Duckweed, Elodea, and Algae. So they eat at their own speed, and the Duckweed, is very helpful for when the mother Guppy has her kids (fries) they can hide for 2 or 3 days (until they get big enough, so their parents won't eat them) Also, most Guppies have about 2-220 Fries. If they're in the wild, the more they will have, if not the less. Also, the younger she is, the less she will have. The older she is the more fries. If she is sick, it can lower the chance of a lot. They can also be born dead, if the mother is sick.
I am reading all about Guppies and their Fries, so have any other questions please feel free to ask.
NO!
Guppies do eat algae. However, if you only feed it fish feed, then it will not eat the algae because it is so used to the fish feed...
....No
no they do not any type of algae eaters only eat algae that has grown on your tanks glass
yes algae eaters do eat dead fish because as i type this my algae eater is feasting on a dead goldfish!
No Guppies are not moss eaters.
No, because plants are not made up of algae
Guppies will eat a bit of algae now and then but don't expect them to eat plants because they are not plant eaters. They mainly eat tiny crustacea like Daphnia and insect larvae like Mosquito wrigglers. In some places they are put in waterways to control the Mosquitos and are called Mosquito fish.
Most of the time you can just leave them in the tank. The other fish will most likely leave them alone. You can feed them wafers with algae in them. They will also eat whatever your other algae eaters eat. I hope this answer helps!
Try bottom cleaners, algae eaters, black moors, and guppies for sure.
Yes Sometimes
Algae is a water purifier and will not kill Guppies at all.
Yes they are good as a treat but Plecos are algae eaters. Specialised food is available for algae eaters at good pet/fish shops
