youre automatic air ride suspension went out it happens to alot of navigators/expeditions that came from the factory with rear air ride shocks
I'm pretty sure all expeditions came equipped with rear air ride suspension. meaning that there is a malfunction with the air suspension. could be anything with it including: switch is turned off, level sensor failed, air lines or air bags leaking, air pump failure, blown fuse.
the 2001 is behind the passenger side headlight

I think they have air ride shocks in the rear not the whole suspension.
A "lowboy" is simply a car with suspension mods to give it a lower ride height than stock. Conversely a "highboy" is a car that has been changed to produce a higher ride height than stock.
My bad sign was my car was on the ground one morning. I guess there could be other things too. If your compressor is running all the time and stuff like that. My advice on this is if your having issues with anything on your air system, do away with it! I found a company called Strutmasters that has conversion kits for Expeditions. I put one on my 2001 and love it. I haven't had no more problems with my ride since then. It may be the answer to your problems with your air suspension. It was mine.
It should not be. The bike will ride on the reg. suspension, just a little lower. It would be good to have it fixed though.
