It depends on which harness. There were also two diesel engines in 2007. If it has the same engine and transmission, the engine harness would be the same.
The body and dash harnesses will differ depending on truck length, door configuration, etc.
There is no such thing as "an 82 Mercedes". There are (and were) several different models made my Mercedes, so you will have to specify the model you are interested in. And then there are different tanks. The diesels tend to have a smaller tank than the petrol versions (on a C 200 at least), so you need to be quite specific.

Yes. It will fit. If you stay around the year 92-95 engine and car models you don't have to change much with your wiring harness which is OBD1. And 96 - and up year models are obd2. And since your car is OBD1 and ( For Ex. ) want to use a 96 - and up engine models then you would need a conversion harness or just swap out the whole wiring harness. But using a conversion harness saves more time and is way easier.
8V71TI - 8 cylinders, 71 cu. in. per cylinder, T=turbo, I = intercooled. 8V71N - N = normally aspirated, no turbo, but all Detroit Diesels are/were supercharged 2-cycle diesels until the Series 60 models. The turbo models had turbos which blew thru the mechanical blowers, as an 8-71 supercharger. The intercoolers are between the turbos and the supercharger.
I'm not sure what you mean by "interchangeable", if it's a fuel inj car from the factory, it should have what you need for FI, but if it was carbuerated, harness if different, painless performance has any and all make and models of new wiring harnesses, http://www.painlessperformance.com/ jr
How because it is a model
I know in earlier year models the power is tapped from the backside of the cigarette lighters wiring harness and then routed under the carpet to the center console connection. I'm unaware if they have included this in the newer models now or if it still must be tapped from the lighter harness.
Pre-ECV military models used the 6.2 liter naturally aspirated Detroit Diesel V8 diesel engine. ECV models used the turbocharged 6.5 liter Detroit Diesel V8 diesel engine. Civilian models of the H1 also offered the 6.5 and 6.6 Duramax diesels.
They are different because some models are newer than the the other models...... an some have more vivid descriptions
There are three different models of the Oldsmobile Alero; the GX, the Gl, and the GLX
Models need to be changed as often as deemed necessary by the market. Different types of models need to be changed at different times.
NO, THE ARE BOTH DIFFERENT MODELS OF CARS NO NOT DIFFERENT MODELS, DIFFERENT GENERATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
