please correct me if im wrong but i think everything that doesnt burn has a melting point Everything has a melting point, no matter how hard or dense. Even diamonds can melt if hot enough. Not everything has a melting point. Some things never change into liquid, they go from solid to gas. Dry Ice does this at room temperature. This process is called sublimation.
NO they do not have the same melting point!!
No. Some materials decompose before melting.
No. Different materials melt at different temperatures. This is why some substances are solid at room temperature while others are liquid.
Not all substances have a boiling and melting point; some are thermally decomposed at high temperatures.
Generally yes but some substances are destroyed when they are heated and the melting point has no sense.
No, each material has a specific melting or boiling point.
For example water boil at 100 oC (at normal pressure) and sodium chloride melting point is at
801 oC.
yes ice melts
you kidding right
No they vary a great deal.
Helium melting point: -272,2 0C Rhenium boiling point: 5 596 0C
freezing water is not good for your body , but boiling water is because , your boiling out all the bad stuff out of the water what i do is boil the water for 4-5 mins , and then , put it in the freezer , and it would be nice and cold : ) #yummy !
The higher the molality the higher the boiling point and the lower the freezing point. Conversely, the lower the molality the lower the boiling point and the lower the freezing point. Now let's analyze the problem: The total molality of 0.10 m of NaCl is 0.20 m. This is based on the property of the ionic bond. Ionic bonds are salts and thus strong electrolytes, which means they break up into all of there constituents in solution. Since two substances make up sodium chloride (sodium and chlorine), that means you'll have two substances overall. Your total molality was .10, and you have two substances, which means you're left with 0.10 * 2 = 0.20 m. Glucose is made of covalent bonds which do NOT break up in solution. This means you are left with one substance, C6H12O6. So you have 0.10 * 1 = 0.10. You are left comparing 0.20m of NaCL and 0.10m of C6H12O6. The higher molality has the higher boiling point.
Living on a water table like this is never an easy situation. There are a few different options that would all definitely suffice for this particular occasion, though I would recommend vinyl: http://knol.google.com/k/new-basement-flooring-options#
All substances have melting points and boiling points. A melting point is merely the temperarture at which it changes from a solid to liquid and vice versa. The boiling point of a substance would be the temperature at which it changes from liquid to gas and vice versa.
i will give you three....melting point, boiling point, freezing point and one more is density
Helium melting point: -272,2 0C Rhenium boiling point: 5 596 0C
It does not, but salt affects the freezing point. All solids are frozen. Each has a different freezing point. Ice is just the freezing point of water. But your computer keys are frozen too. Different substances freeze differently. But for your purposes, compare water to salt water. The salt in the water causes there to be more things in the water that disrupt the tight hydrogen bonds.Since freezing is tighter H-bonds, salt lowers the freezing temperature because it is harder to freeze it now since there is salt in it.

For feathers, foam plastic, cotton ... all well above the boiling point for water.
As in all things that are matter, they have three forms: steam (H2O boiling point is 212 degrees F), liquid (between boiling point and freezing point), and the freezing solid (H20 is 32 degree F).
There is no single boiling point. A variety of substances can form hydrogen bonds, all with different boiling points.
Water, like all substances, has only one freezing/melting point, which is 0 C or 32 degrees F.

The boiling Point of impure water is 100 degrees celsius
no. it does not any impurity in water and other all substances rises its boiling point and slows down its melting point . So salt will raise the boiling point of water rather than lowering it
Freezing point: -434.5°F , -259.2°C, 14oK Melting point is obviously any temperature higher than the freezing point. The boiling point however is: -423.0°F, -252.8°C, 20oK All temperatures are at a pressure of 1 atmosphere
