Why do humans save animals?

They believe in animal rights and care about animals.

Animal rights do they exist?

Yes they do and for good reason, humans are equally with animals, they both reach for equilibrium! ---- Good lord there's alot of these posts. NO animals do not have rights: here's why * 1.3 billion people worldwide depend on animals as a profitable and efficient source of food and income. Poor people or animals? * 800 million people go to bed hungry everyday, grazing animals such as cows are our only way of converting fiber into usagable energy. Hungry people or animals? * Millions of people are still deprived of their basic rights and animal rights activists wish to extend those same rights to animals. Rights for people or animals? * Trillions are invested in livestock related infostructure. * Some pharmaceuticals can only be produced (or produced in sufficient quantities) with animals. Sick people or animals? * Animals cannot understand the concept of rights as they have no morality. * Animals cannot defend their right if granted by humans. * Animals do not have the capacity to corporately maintain rights with humans. * Animals cannot follow rights themselves. * Animals cannot ask for rights or indicate a desire for them. * Countless animals everyday are slaughtered for food or fun by other animals everyday, humans are no different. * Only humans will be affected by animal rights as only humans will obey the law. * The concept of being a heartless person is relative, if i was taught dogs liked being kicked and that it was the right thing to do i would be doing it right now. * Animals rights do not benefit humans in any way, rather it harms humans. * What if an animal loved to be hurt, humans have BDSM and it can be assumed that some animals also do. How can a person decide for the animal? * If full animal rights were granted then all carnivores will have to be locked up for cannibalism. * To what extent is something considered an animal? This is a matter of opinion that only humans can decide on. * What should the rights be for an animal, they obviously are different, should there be different laws for each species? To what extent? How can we tell its the best for them? This is a matter of opinion that only humans can decide on. * I believe most hungry and poor people will shoot you first before they let you do what you want with their cattle. * People are judged on how they treat others, not animals as only other people can comment on your morality.

Do animals have rights just like humans do?

No, but they should have some.

Why should there be animal rights?

See "What does animal rights mean?" ---- There shouldn't * 1.3 billion people worldwide depend on animals as a profitable and efficient source of food and income. Why is there constiution?

There is a constitution because it gives ordinary rights to humans/federal government employee's to follow. Such as basic human rights.

Should animals be granted legal rights?

Yes because they are as important as humans

What is this about animals having more rights than humans?

People say that animal rights activists favor animals more than humans. For example, PETA says that they won't let new drugs be tested on animals even if it helps to cure AIDS.

SHOULD animal rights be stricter?

The common misconception is that we award rights to animals. This is not true. Animals are born with rights. It is humans who deny them those rights. We don't need animal rights to be 'stricter', we must simply recognize those rights legally and allow them to live free and unharmed by human hands. Humans have no right to 'award' anyone rights - you are either born with rights, or you are not. They are not something to be given to a choice few. *Avarice*Absolutely. Many people are still getting away with abusing, neglecting, and etc. many many animals, often in a horrific way. Some are being experimented on as if they were inanimate objects. I think MORE people should realize that animals are living and feel pain as we do and I absolutely think that they deserve the rights as we, humans, do. Xox, Smartiiz.Animals shoud receive some of the rights humans do, not allAnimals inflict pain on others all the time, we are not exempt unless you can prove we are not animals. All animals have the will to live but not the rights, or else there would never be carnivores.Rights are a purely human concept, it does not exist naturally, if humans were not present there would be no rights. IT is up to people to decide on what rights are.And I'm sure animals feel pain and emotions, evolutionally it probably helped them survive, but this a matter of opinionIf i was taught dogs liked being kicked and that it was the right thing to do i would be doing it right now and it would be the right thing. What if an animal loved to be hurt, humans have BDSM and it can be assumed that some animals also do. How can a person decide for the animal?Animals rights do not benefit humans in any way, rather it harms humans that depend on animals, maybe not you but what about the poor, hungry, or farmer? I rather have people love me than animals as people can judge and comment on my morality.

What is the effect of animal rights?

well, humans pollute the water and air, and plus they kill animals for their meat, so i guess humans don't affect animals very well.

Do wild animals have rights too?

Ofcourse!! Every living creature has rights. Just as you have the right to live life on your own terms, wild animals too have the right to live as they want. But, sadly, today, we humans are restricting the rights of animals.

Should tasty animals have rights?

Rights come with responsibilities. As an animal cannot be assigned responsibilities, they cannot deserve rights. To do otherwise would be to say "humans have to toe a line to deserve rights, but animals don't". In other words, they would be held as superior to humans. I suppose you could say they have the right to be prepared properly!
