No. Antibacterial soap is not any more effective at ridding your hands and other surfaces of bacteria as "normal" soap. It will, however, help to create "super bacteria" that are resistant to antibiotics.Added: Also, by using antibacterial soap you kill the good bacteria on your skin that help to keep you from infection. Without these bacteria you are liable to get a fungal infection like ringworm. It is good to have a moderate level of bacteria in your environment. They give your immune system something to practice on so it will be ready when something harmful checks in.
The multi drug resistant bacteria was detected in 2008 for the first time. Large scale misuse of the antibiotics by the quacks was the reason for emergence of this so called superbug bacteria. There was speculation that this type of bacteria will spread very rapidly. It was suppose to engulf the whole human population. Every sensible citizen was worried about the threat to the humanity. This dreaded bacteria continue to create the problems as expected. But it did not spread in geometrical progression as expected. Why this did not happen has been bothering me over the years. Now that I have come to know the probable reason for the same. This is a guess work and open for the discussion. You had such type of bacteria, Typhoid bacteria to be more precise. It became resistant to the commonly used antibiotic, that was Chloramphenicol. I thought that it was the end. Fortunately the new antibacterial came to the rescue. That was Ciprofloxacin. But with time the Typhoid bacteria once again became sensitive to the Chloramphenicol. That means the drug resistant bacteria are fragile as compared to the 'wild' variety of the bacteria. Same principle has applied to multi drug resistant bacteria also. They are more fragile than the 'wild' variety of bacteria. So they did not spread with geometrical proportion. But the spread by arithmetic progression can not be prevented.
Genetic mutations in the bacteria can cause them to become resistant to particular kinds of medication. As the reproduction rate of bacteria is so high, even just one bacteria with the gene that causes resistance can quickly multiply to become a strain of bacteria which are all resistant.
They put in dead or biologically weakened bacteria or virus strains that cauase your immune system to create antibodys against theese otherwise virulent pathogens.
Taking antibiotics to prevent typhoid infection is not advised. You will create the drug resistant bacteria by this way. That is very dangerous phenomena.
Yes, it is common for the body to be resistant to bacteria and infections that it has already encountered and survived through.
It allows the bacteria to create a resistant and dormant cell that can preserve the original cells genetic material when put under extremely unfavourable conditions
Taking antibiotics for colds and other viral illnesses not only won't work, but it also has a dangerous side effect: over time, this practice helps create bacteria that have become more of a challenge to kill. Frequent and inappropriate use of antibiotics selects for strains of bacteria that can resist treatment. This is called bacterial resistance. These resistant bacteria require higher doses of medicine or stronger antibiotics to treat. Doctors have even found bacteria that are resistant to some of the most powerful antibiotics available today. Antibiotic resistance is a widespread problem, and one that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention calls "one of the world's most pressing public health problems." Bacteria that were once highly responsive to antibiotics have become increasingly resistant. Among those that are becoming harder to treat are pneumococcal infections (which cause pneumonia, ear infections, sinus infections, and meningitis), skin infections, and tuberculosis. create resistant spores
no one is rensponsible to create a bacteria
Bacteria on the skin created odour.
bacteria can create dairy products, create sickness or cure sickness and fungi are things like mushrooms
