"NO ! They are desert creatures ! The only water they need is for drinking."
Actually, the answer above is incorrect. While bearded dragons are desert creatures they do like water in some cases. They should also be soaked in water that is shallow at least once a week. Never, EVER leave your Beardie unattended no matter how shallow the water is and never let the water level get higher than their back. Because some bearded dragons don't drink their own water while it is left in their enclosure, you give soak them to help hydrate them. Its also a good way to help them shed.
Well I have a Bearded Dragon and he LOVES water he gets baths and i give him water with an eye dropper! just drop water on youre dragons nose and wait. he will start licking his nose. but you dont have to! if you simply provide him with a clean dish of water he will drink from it.
yes, but you should give them fresh bottled water every day. sometimes they will drink from a bowl and other times you have to put a few drops on top of their head which then rolls into the mouth however they get most of their liquid from the correct fruit and veg. If you are worrid that your dragon is not getting enough fluid then contact your vet.
Like any other Arid, semi/arid species, beardies tend to like to bathe in water. As far as swimming is concerned just like any other lizard, they know how to swim from birth however, remember that they are a desert species living away from water. They get most of their water from succulent plants and other animals.
they do like it! Becuse it gets them exercise and they drink while they swim. Its jest one of their likeings. PUT HIM/HER IN YOUR BATH TUB! But jest make sure they have some thing to hold on to when they get tired and dont force them to swim. AND BABY BEARDED DRAGON CANT SWIM WAIT TILL' THEY GET BIGGER!
