Yes according to the word of God Romans chapter 7 and Eph. 5v22 you will see that being Baptized is no a religion it is the bases for becoming a better parent for you child. A example "Love thy neighbor as you love you self" is just not talking about you friends it is talking about you family also

God parents are appointed by your parents at the time of your baptism (christening), if this is done when you are a baby or young child. They promise to take an interest in your moral and religious upbringing. Sometimes there is an understanding that they will take care of you if your parents fall ill or die. If you are baptised as an adult, you do not need god parents because you make the promises in the ceremony yourself. If you are not baptised, you don't need them at all!
If you have your children baptised at a protestant church do their god parents have to be already baptised?
To be a god parent in a catholic community the willing god parents must of had their confirmation already to be a godparent for the baptism.

When you are baptised you are a new creation. You are baptised and cleansed with water. There is no need to take off your clothes as this shows humility before God. A swimsuit is sportswear and baptism is no sport.

Being baptised is not the sprinkling of water over your head, but its your whole body being submersed underwater. You can't be baptised inn the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost, but you have to be baptised in the name of Jesus because that's how the bible says it needs to be done. When your baptised, all of your sins are washed away. Meaning that God has forgiven/forgotten all of your sins. As for the responsibilities, God wants you to never sin again. But if you do happen to sin, all you need to do is repent and ask God for forgiveness. You can never return to your sinful ways. If you got baptised to have your sins forgiven, why would you go and sin again? All you really have to do is just stay faithful to God.
